About
Solidarités International is a non-governmental organization founded in France in 1980. Its main objective is to assist populations affected by humanitarian crises, including natural disasters, armed conflicts, and social crises such as malnutrition, displacement, and lack of access to clean water. The organization works in more than 20 countries around the world, providing emergency aid and long-term assistance to the most vulnerable people. The core values of Solidarités International include respect for the dignity and rights of individuals, impartiality, independence, and accountability. The organization aims to provide a rapid response to crises, but also to support communities in their long-term development by implementing sustainable solutions. Solidarités International's programs include providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion, food security, shelter and non-food items, and support to livelihoods. The organization also works to strengthen the capacity of local actors to respond to crises and to promote the participation of affected communities in the decision-making process.
